I've worked in pen and ink and colored pencil for years but a few months ago I started experimenting with watercolor as way of making my work even more detailed and compulsive than it already is. I like the pastel-y effect I get with colored pencil but an advantage of watercolor is that you can mix exactly the color you want. For now I'm enjoying fooling with both media in the same picture.
Warning: some of these are big honking files and I apologize for the time they'll take to load. But I like to think they're worth the wait... |

This is an example of my new direction: instead of pictures about food, I'm going straight to pictures OF food. I don't know how long this will last but I'm having a lot of fun with it now. I'm not offering any of them for sale on this site because I haven't made any final decisions about presentation or prices; but I'm showing them at the fairs now so come check them out - I've got loads of 'em |
